Releases

Geronimo 2.2 was released in late December. The Geronimo landing page does not yet include a news article for this. Is that because we are waiting for something from PR?

Server

Work on the trunk version has continued to convert the server to run within the Karaf OSGi environment.

Plugins

The Jetty and Apache Tomcat versions have been upgraded in trunk to support the newer servlet specs that are part of Java EE6.

No major issues to report. The community has been active on the dev and user mailing lists. The community is actively working on a Geronimo 3.0 release targeting support for OSGi and EE6.

I know there has been some work toward getting Daytrader 2.2 ready for release - but I do not know the status.

DevTools

Voting began on the first release candidate of A vote for a GEP 2.2 in early January (this should be updated before the report is sent to the board with a result)release is currently active.

Samples

The Geronimo Samples are being updated in preparation for a 2.2 release.

Specs

The JPA 2.0 spec has been released
