Apache Geronimo uses OpenJPA for providing Java Persistence API to Java EE applications deployed in the server. The persistence deployment descriptor information is typically provided using a persistence.xml file. The <ee:persistence> top-level element can be used include the persistence deployment descriptor in the geronimo-web.xml file.
