Following is the test plan for List API Performance optimization carried out during 4.1

Following List APIs will be tested:
listAccounts
listAsyncJobs
listDomainRouters
listEvents
listHosts
listVmGroups
listProjects
listProjectAccounts
listProjectInvitations
listResourceTags
listSecurityGroups
listUsers
listVirtualMachines
listVolumes
listStoragePools

Test Strategy:

Tests will be carried out using simulator.
Simulator set up will consist of the following configuration:
Single zone, about 100 Pods, 200 Clusters, 2000 Hosts, 10K User instances, few 1000 routers.

Time taken for returning List API calls will be tracked measured for both json and xml response for different values of pagesize starting from 1 to max count of objects in the DB.

Test Configuration:

Management server hosted on: CentOS 6.3 

CPU: 8 processor, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU, 2.40GHz, ht enabled
