This proposal is intent for  search for user by any public profile data (name, location, skills, etc) for Apache Allura, the codebase for SourceForge 2.0, which includes a plugin framework and integrated Wiki, Tracker, SCM (svn, git and hg), Discussion, and Blog tools.

Apache Allura has been using Solr indexing for full search across all tools.Search for users has complexities involved.
