Four new mechanisms may be provided for the client /broker configuration sasl.mechanism (for client and inter-broker client connections) and the broker configuration configurations sasl.enabled.mechanisms and sasl.mechanism.inter.broker.protocol. The new mechanism names are SCRAM-SHA-224, SCRAM-SHA-256, SCRAM-SHA-384 and SCRAM-SHA-512. Any combination of SCRAM mechanisms can be enabled in the broker along with existing mechanisms if required.
