Before establishing contact with Apache Infrastructure, you have to make sure that you possess the appropriate permissions to do so. The Apache MXNet PPMC and the Apache Infra VP Head Administrator Greg Stein agreed on the following terms:

  • IPMC: These are the Apache MXNet mentors.
  • PPMC: The Apache MXNet PPMC consists of members who have binding votes. If you can read private@mxnet.apache.org and are listed as PPMC at https://whimsy.apache.org/roster/ppmc/mxnet (restricted to PPMC), then you are a PPMC member.
  • Committer: A committer at Apache MXNet is a person who has write permissions to the GitHub repository but has not reached the level of binding votes yet. If your name appears at https://people.apache.org/committers-by-project.html#mxnet but you do not fall under the above PPMC description, you  and you're listed as committer but not PPMC at https://whimsy.apache.org/roster/ppmc/mxnet, you are a committer.
  • Contributor: A contributor at Apache MXNet is every other person that has not been elected by the Apache PPMC. You have no write permissions or binding votes.
