Introduction

Below is a test plan for the OpenMeetings 3.0.3 release candidate testing.

Details

  1. User GUI tests (by Vasiliy Degtyarev)
    1. Login/logout
      •  Password recovering
      •  Self-registering
      •  "Visit Apache OpenMeetings" link
      •  Enter wrong login/password
      •  Enter correct login/password
      •  Exit the system by click the Exit button
    2. Dashboard
      •  Correct user info in the upper left corner

Extended test plan for the recordings and screen sharing testing for OpenMeetings 3.0.3 release candidate.


1. Interview room testing.

    •  1.1. Just a 5 minutes recording  in one room:

1.1.1. Enter a room with user A

1.1.2.  Enter a room with user B

1.1.3. Open videos for both users

1.1.4. Start recording with user A

1.1.5. Wait for 5 minutes

1.1.6. Stop recording by user A

1.1.7. Repeat previous steps 3 times

1.1.8. Exit room

1.1.9. Wait some time and check that all the recordings are processed as expected. It should be possible to see both users video and hear sound in the room; there should not be a delay between the video and sound

    •  1.2. Repeat test 1.1 it two or three rooms in parallel
    •  1.3. Just a 30 minutes recording: do steps 1.1.1-1.1.6 in two rooms in parallel, wait 30 minutes on the step 6; then check the result recording
    •  1.4. Just an 1 hour recording: do steps 1.1.1-1.1.6 in two rooms in parallel, wait 1 hour on the step 6; then check the result recording
    •  1.5. 5-minutes recording: user exits the room before the recording gets stopped

1.5.1. Enter a room with user A

2.1.6. Check that A's screen looks correctly for users B and C and sound is OK in the room

2.1.7. Stop screen sharing by user A after 5 minutes

2.1.8. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 3 times

2.1.9. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 one more time, but choose “Very high quality” on the step 2.1.5

2.1.10. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 one more time, but choose “Medium quality” on the step 2.1.5

2.1.11. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 one more time, but choose “Low quality” on the step 2.1.5

2.1.12. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 one more time, but choose some random height and width on the step 2.1.5

2.1.13. Repeat steps 2.1.1-2.1.7 one more time, but turn the “Notify on disconnect” switch on the step 2.1.5

    •  2.2. Recordings:

2.2.1. Enter a room with user A

2.2.2. Enter a room with user B

2.2.3. Enter a room by user C

2.2.4. Open videos for all the users

2.2.5. Start recording session by user A, choose High quality

2.2.6. Stop recording session by user A after 5 minutes

2.2.7. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 3 times

2.2.8. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 one more time, but choose “Very high quality” on the step 2.2.5

2.2.9. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 one more time, but choose “Medium quality” on the step 2.2.5

2.2.10. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 one more time, but choose “Low quality” on the step 2.2.5

2.2.11. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 one more time, but choose some random height and width on the step 2.2.5

2.2.12. Repeat steps 2.2.1-2.2.6 one more time, but turn the “Notify on disconnect” switch on the step 2.2.5

2.2.13. Go to the A's recordings list and check that all the recordings are there, processed without errors, video and sound are OK and work without delay

    •  2.3. Recordings and screen sharing: user enters the room after recording is started 

2.3.1. Enter conference room by user A

2.3.2. Start screen sharing & recordings with default parameters by user A

2.3.3. Enter the room by user B, check that screen sharing is OK. Wait 5 minutes

2.3.4. Enter the room by user C, check that screen sharing is OK. Wait 5 minutes

2.3.5. Exit the room by user B; wait 3 minutes

2.3.6. Exit the room by user C; wait 3 minutes

2.3.7. Exit the room by user A

2.3.8. Repeat steps 2.3.1-2.3.7 3 times

2.3.9. Go to the recordings list for user A and check that all the recordings are OK and work as expected.

    •  2.4. Stress test ( start 4 times - 2 ok, 2 not created (Recording file is not found))

2.4.1. Enter the room by the users A, B, C, D and E

2.4.2. Open A, B, C, D and E videos

2.4.3. Start screen sharing and recordings session with high quality by user A

2.4.4. Wait 30 minutes

2.4.5. Stop screen sharing

2.4.6. Go to A's recordings list and check that created recording is OK

2.4.7. Repeat steps 2.3.1-2.3.6 3 times
