The source code for Apache Trafodion can be downloaded from Apache Trafodion Incubator release as a tar file.  If you wish to contribute, we recommend that you follow instructions described in Contribute to the Software.

• Download the source tar file to your <trafodion download directory>
• Check the tar file validity by checking signatures, see Checking Verify Signatures. Our Trafodion releases have been signed using The GNU Privacy Guard. 
• cd <trafodion download directory>
• tar -xzf <tar file>
• Follow the instructions for building Trafodion - Building the Software

• Create the following build directories:  C:\Build\win-odbc64\lib, C:\Build\win-odbc64\inc, C:\Build\win-odbc64\redist, and C:\Traf-Windows-BldTools
• Download and install Active perl for windows, download from https://www.perl.org/get.html
• Download and install Visual Studio 2013 community edition, download the 2013 community version from https://www.visualstudio.com
• Download, build and install openSSL version (openssl-1.0.1p.tar.gz), download from ftp://ftp.openssl.org/source/ and follow instructions in Build openssl static libraries for Windows 64 bit
• Download zlib for Windows, download from https://github.com/madler/zlib/ and follow instructions in Build zlib libraries for Windows 64 bit
• Download  and install Unicode version of Inno software for packaging, download from http://www.jrsoftware.org/isdl.php
  Download the  C++  Redistributable runtime library(vcredist_x64.exe) from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 and copy it to C:\Build\winodbc64\redist (Note: if the folder does not exist please create it)
• If you plan to contribute, download github  ( http://git-scm.com/downloads )
• Download Trafodion source (which contains Windows ODBC driver code) as described earlier and follow instructions in Build Trafodion Windows ODBC driver for Windows 64 bit
