4.9 Released

The Apache Wicket team project is proud to announce the availability of the first maintenance release: Apache Wicket 1.3.1. A lot of bugs have been squashed and several improvements implemented. The most notable improvement is the addition of out-of-the-box, transparent clustering support (WICKET-1272).

xml
<dependency>
  <groupId>org.apache.wicket</groupId>
  <artifactId>wicket</artifactId>
  <version>1.4.9</version>
</dependency>

A complete list of changes can be found here.

It is worth noting that WICKET-2846 will almost definitely be reverted in the next release because the community has shown a preference for this. So, it would be wise not to take advantage of the InheritableThreadLocal that was put into version 1.4.9.

We thank you for your patience and support.
