Among the services hosted by Oracle on the legacy OOo servers are over 300 mailing lists, including the <optional-insert-legacy-mailing-list-name> mailing list you are reading now.  In order to participate in Apache OpenOffice.org through a relevant mailing list, you will need to resubscribe to a new list address, per the following instructions:

1.  Send an email to <subscribe-address-for-new-list>. This should be done from the email account where you want to receive the list messages. (Alternate suggestion: Fix the Reply-to for the message to just go to subscription to the new list. Change this wording to: "Just reply to this message to subscribe to the recommended list, <list name>, with the e-mail address that is used for this existing OpenOffice.org list".)
2. This will generate a confirmation email which will be sent to your email address. You will need to reply to the confirmation email in order to complete your subscription to the new list.
3. To send posts to the new list, you will mail them to the following address: <post-address-for-new-list>
4. And if you ever want to unsubscribe to the new list, you can do so by sending an email to <unsubscribe-address-for-new-list>
