Apache CXF is an open source services framework. CXF helps you build and develop services using frontend programming APIs, like JAX-WS and JAX-RS. These services can speak a variety of protocols such as SOAP, XML/HTTP, RESTful HTTP, or CORBA and work over a variety of transports such as HTTP, JMS or JBI.

The Apache CXF team is proud to announce the availability of the latest patch releases. Over 85 50 JIRA issues were fixed for 2.6.2 3 which many of those fixes back ported to the other branches.

This is mostly a patch release to fix problems and issues that users have encountered. However, these releases now do additional validation checks against the incoming SOAP messages. Thus, these releases may reject invalid SOAP messages that previous versions would have processed. There is an endpoint property of "soap.no.validate.parts" that can be set to true to skip some (but not all) of the additional checks

Note

This is the last planned release of the 2.4.x series of patches. Users are STRONGLY encouraged to upgrade to the newer versions of CXF.
