    • Introduce Science Gateways and Apache Airavata.
    • Introduce the Audience.
    • Gateway Parade: Demonstrate 2 science gateways to get a glimpse of the end goal.

Discussion with the Audience on current and potential gateway requirements.

  • Set the stage to start demonstrating gateway request to deployment

Demonstrate gateway request, deployment and basic compute and storage resource configurations
  • Django Presentation (URL)
    • This time to be used to
      • Make the gateway request
      • Create gateway tenant
      • Submit to CILogon automatically
      • Deploy the gateway
      • Open the gateway and register the resources
    • While the above take place the audience needs to be engaged in conversation, what we are demonstrating and also how all that makes their life easy (could be part of the Django presentation)
      • Quick availability
      • Easy account creation with CILogon
      • Availability of XSEDE, cloud and campus resources

Add new application with customized interface and application inputs
  • Add a new application needing a customized interface at the tutorial.
  • The application should also need advance input configuration with JSON.

Break:
  • Get the audience to create user accounts in the new gateway just created.
  • Get them to download the input files.
 

Audience Hands on


  • Take them through creating and launching a new experiment
    • Experiment sharing.
    • Creating and adding users to groups.
    • Demonstrate group resource profile features, how access can be controlled.

  • Time to share what we have been upto in Helix, what sort of new avenues it opens technically and functionally
