Apache CeltiXfire is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Incubator PMC. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.

Apache Incubator CeltiXfire: An Open Source Service Framework

Overview

Apache Incubator CeltiXfire is a merging of the Objectweb Celtix project and the Codehaus XFire project. The goal is to combine the best concepts from the two projects and create an enterprise quality framework work creating services. Apache Incubator CeltiXfire will allow developers to use a variety of programming models, including JAX-WS, POJO, and Javascript, to develop services. The resulting services will have a pluggable binding and transport mechanism which enables a service to use more than SOAP/HTTP.

Getting Involved

Apache Incubator CeltiXfire is currenlty under heavy development. To get involved you can subscribe to the mailing lists. You can also grab the code from the Source Repository. You also need to read about Building CXF.
