Traditionally, at StreamPipes we publish a blogpost for every new released version, which briefly explains the most important features added.
In combination with a short textual description of how to use the new features, we usually create some screenshots that illustrate how to use
and where to find the features.

Starting with releasing StreamPipes 0.70.0 we came up with the idea of using short GIF videos that demonstrate the new features instead
of single screenshots. Here you can see an example:
















How to create such GIFs?

The GIF shown above has been created with the tool LICEcap. It provides a easy and comfortable way for screencasting and diretcly saving it as GIFs.
LICEcap is available for both MacOS and Windows. An alternative for Linux is peek. A more powerful tool with more features is ScreencastToGif.
