Apache ACE is a software distribution framework that allows you to centrally manage and distribute software components, configuration data and other artifacts to target systems.

This board report is the first one since ACE has been promoted as a TLP.

Community
=========
Several ACE committers were presents at the ApacheCon and we had some talk/training sessions.

We are structuring the community after the graduation (PMCs, PMC Chair definition).

Development
============
ACE 0.8.1-incubator has been released for the graduation.

We are now focusing on the first TLP release.

Work on the resources (website, documentation, etc) will start soon for promote ACE as a TLP and give more information to the users.

Some informal discussions started during the ApacheCon in order to identify some relationship with ACE and others projects (Karaf (already started), Archiva, Whirr, etc).

Web site will be updated to promote the graduation and give more informations to the users.

Branding
========

  • project website basics: ok

  • trademarks: ok
  • logo: we have to add the TM mention on the ACE logo and provite a "powered by ACE" logo
  • metadata: ok
