How to create and announce a ServiceMix release.

Creating the ServiceMix Release

  1. Grab the latest Source
  2. Change the version number:
    change version in all poms
    change version in geronimo-1.0
    change version in geronimo-1.1
    change version in tooling/--archetypes--/src/main/resource/archetype-resources/pom.xml

Also add the new version to the version list in these files.

  1. Let Maven build, test, package, and deploy the binaries
    mvn -N install
    cd tooling
    mvn install
    cd ..
    mvn -Dmaven.test.skip=true -DperformRelease=true install site:site deploy site:deploy

  2. Tag the release using your local workspace to a new SERVICEMIX_X_Y label
    svn mkdir http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/servicemix/tags/SERVICEMIX_X_Y -m "ServiceMix X.Y Release"
    svn copy . http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/servicemix/tags/SERVICEMIX_X_Y -m "ServiceMix X.Y Release"

  3. Check that the binaries look fine.
