High level requirement

Support Load balancer devices (F5, Netscaler, Brocade, etc) on shared Networks in Advanced Zone.

Details:

Currently, there are no network services available for customers who want to deploy shared Networks (VLANs) in advanced zone. The requirement  is to support Load Balancers (Citrix, F5) to be allowed when deploying shared Networks in Advanced Zone.

Customer use case:

This requirement is coming from users who have a advanced zone using a VR environment. In order to get around the concerns of scalability and performance of VR, lot of these users deploy Shared Networks. Currently, we do not support physical devices on shared Networks, only isolated. For these customers, having support for LB on shared networks is required.

Requirements:

• Support for NS, F5, Brocade needs to be added as an external Load Balancer on Shared Networks
• Support should be equivalent of LB support for Isolated Networks
• With the addition of Firewall and LB support in CS 4.1, users should be able to deploy FW & LB in side-by-side as well as in in-line mode.
