Announcements
This page is for the storing of announcement write ups and to help with the editing and collaboration of announcements before they are released out to the public.
This would include but not be limited to:
- Release Announces
- Press Releases
- Security Announcements (As needed)
- Other Announcements
Release Announcements
Release announcements for major (e.g. 4.0.0-incubating) and minor (e.g. 4.0.1-incubating) releases need to be drafted on the -dev or (future) -marketing mailing list and be approved by lazy consensus.
Release announcements process
- A release draft needs to be sent to -dev and -marketing (if created) at least one week before the approval is needed/release is issued.
- A release draft also needs to be approved by press@apache.org, again at least one week before approval is needed.
