Welcome Apache Foo mentors! - Mentor onboarding and best practices

Hi,

Thank you for stepping up to mentor a new Apache Incubator project, Apache Foo.

To help you get started, here are  some valuable resources that have recently been created:

Just a word of  warning - there are a lot of documentation. It is not really humanly possible to read and digest all of them, especially in one go - but if you:

These quizzes are hosted on a third-party platform (Canvas). The ASF does not have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with this provider. Please take standard precautions regarding privacy and personal data. To the best of our knowledge, the platform is GDPR compliant and collects only minimal personal information (name, email address, and possibly IP address). No additional personal data is tracked or retained.

Every podling and mentor is different, and some require more support than others. These guides offer practical tips to help in most situations, and even if you are an experienced mentor, it’s worth skimming them.
