Mentor offboarding process at podling graduation or retirement.

1. Reflect on the Mentorship Experience

• Reflect on the Mentorship Journey: Take time to reflect on their overall experience, including successes, challenges, and how they contributed to the podling’s growth.
• Review Documents: Review the Best Practices for Mentors and Mentor Onboarding documents.
• Update Documents: Reflecting on what worked well and what challenges were faced, how can those documents be improved?

2. Provide Feedback (Optional)

• Feedback to Podling: Share optional feedback on the podling’s strengths, areas for growth, and recommendations for their post-graduation journey.
• Feedback to the IPMC: Provide optional feedback on the incubating process to the IPMC.

3. Continue as an IPMC member

• Remain Involved: Although graduation marks the end of your formal mentorship duties, you will still be an IPMC member. You may continue to help by voting on releases, engaging in discussions, or mentoring new podlings.
• Support the Community: Your experience is valuable, consider helping improve mentoring resources, participating in process improvements, or guiding new mentors.
• Step Back If Needed: If you are no longer able or want to contribute, you may step down from the IPMC by emailing the Incubator PMC.
