A lot of these topics (like the lifecycle description) aren't really "How tos." Should they be promoted to the reference section of the main page? But then I'm not sure it's fair to hide how tos here and show everything else up front.
In any case, there's a lot of good content on this page, some of it duplicated in the new user's guide, that people probably aren't finding. There should probably be more linking (in both directions) between that guide and everything else. Nathan Hamblen 16:21, 10 Nov 2005 (GMT)
The issue I have with moving links to the front pages is when that page gets too big - If anything, I'd prefer to move most of the References section on the front page elsewhere (e.g. "Miscellaneous Documentation", although I hope someone can think of a better title!), although I'm not sure what categorisations we should actually have...

I agree. It makes sense to have a two main paths from the front page: the New User Guide and a "Reference Library" page. The how tos on this page would be one section on that page. One way to to that would be to rename this page, then c&p all the reference links from the main page to here. Nathan Hamblen 17:46, 16 Nov 2005 (GMT)
