We need to install this as "Run as an administrator" (Probably you need to enable this feature for msi file. By default this is disabled)

Dependencies :

All packages should be installed of 64 bit versions.

1. Java 1.7 should be installed before hand
2. Apache Tomcat6  installed through exe.
3. Pyhton 2.7.x
4. Install setup tools for Python (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/setuptools)
5. 7Zip - To extract ISO file
6. CDR Tools.- and set the following environment variables (http://opensourcepack.blogspot.in/p/cdrtools.html)
   Path - To set the path of cdr tools having mkiso.exe
7. Mysql 5.1 server

Except java reaming dependencies will be installed as part of Apache Cloud Stack installation only.

For now it assumes already SSH keys are generated in hand at home directory.

Installation Structure:

The following structure has been used at the installation path on fresh installation.

The below structure will be created at "<Installation Path>/cloudstack-management"

1. A "conf" directory will be created and contains the following files
   1.  catalina.policy
   2. catalina.properties
   3. environment.properties
   4. log4j-cloud.xml
   5. server.xml
   6. tomcat6.conf
   7. tomcat-users.xml
   8. web.xml
2. A "lib" directory will be created and contains the following files
   1. db.properties
   2. cloud.keystore
   3. key (For db encryption key password)
3. Assumes that tomcat6/lib contains mysql-connector-5.1.21.jar
4. A "webapps" directory will be created and "client" app will be placed inside it. (All Jars will present at "<Installation Path>/cloudstack-management/webapps/client/WEB-INF/lib")
5. "logs" will be created at this location and it contains
   1. access_log.<yyyy-MM-dd>
   2. catalina.<yyyy-MM-dd>
   3. localhost.<yyyy-MM-dd>
6. "vmops.log", "awsapi.log" and "api.log" will be created at <Tomcat Installation Path>
   1. To change the log file location of these files please edit the following file
      <ACS Installation Path>/cloudstack-management/conf/log4j-cloud.xml
           Change the FileNamePattern param of "FILE" appender
           Change the FileNamePattern param of "APISERVER" appender
           Change the FileNamePattern param of "AWSAPI" appender 

The following changes will be done to tomcat6w.exe file during installation

1. updates JVM options with the following
   1. -Dcatalina.base to [INSTALLDIR]
   2. -Djava.io.tmpdir to [INSTALLDIR]\temp
   3. -Xms512m;-Xmx1024m;-XX:MaxPermSize=512m
2. updates classpath with the following
   1. [TOMCATDIRECTORY]\bin\bootstrap.jar
   2. [TOMCATDIRECTORY]\bin\tomcat-juli.jar
   3. [INSTALLDIR]\conf

Installer generates a SSL key file cloud.keystore at [INSTALLDIR]\lib

Events

During installation events will be generated at : "Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Application".

If there are any failures during installation please look at error messages in the above location. To open Event Viewer please run "eventvwr" in Run Command
