2019-10-18 Feedback for Survey

• Q2 & Q3: Clarify that we are talking about tasks and activities, not roles. Highlight that these are tasks/activities when they started contributing to the ASF.

• Comments made by all the presents taking into consideration all the comments included in the document for said questions:

  • Lets keep it at a higher level
  • ….following areas
  • Take away the examples (whats in parentheses)
  • Keep high-level….then make smaller subgroups (translating/ create/ maintain)
  • We can remove the ASF Board question, since no one starts as a board member, or could be irrelevant. 
  • Change Summits to “events in person”

Q4: we will modify the roles listed taking into account the comments in the document. We will open this question to verify the names or equivalent 

Q5: We will rephrase the question to be volunteer/non volunteer...and keep it as slider. 

Q12: Ask which project they contribute the most, ask for the project name and then phrase Q12 for that project. What we are looking for with this question is to identify a relevant situation.

Q 13: Add Question about “place of birth”

Q16 and Q17: decided to take of the word "class" due to the confusion it is causing and change for Status. 

We decided on not having ethnic minority in the question, but instead ask about the place of birth. As the place of birth might have bigger implications on how contributors face barriers/ perception issues.

Overall: Where ever we use the term Apache community -> use the word ASF.

Goal of the survey: Who is the audience? Answer: the survey is open to any kind contributor - so anyone who is subscribed to the Mailing Lists.

Extension of the deadline for review:

• The survey will be open for comments till Sunday at 6 pm UTC.
• We’ll start migrating this survey to limesurvey to have a first version ready by Monday 21st, 2019.
