Apache MyFaces Extensions Validator is a JSF centric validation framework.
It offers powerful and easy to use field based validation, based on annotations. It has a pluggable architecture, so it is possible to add new validation modules or support for component libraries like Trinidad or other 3rd party frameworks.
MyFaces Extensions Validator is compatible with JSF 1.x and JSF 2.x. All versions require Java 1.5+
Please read the current documentation or read an intro - the free sample chapter. For getting a better idea about ExtVal you can also have a look at the feature overview.
A major version of MyFaces Extensions Validator (aka MyFaces ExtVal) has been released.
The project is available at: http://myfaces.apache.org/extensions/validator
The release contains several improvements and new features as well as a new validation module for using Bean-Validation (JSR 303) with JSF 1.x and 2.0. Compared to the standard integration of BV in JSF 2.0 MyFaces ExtVal 2.0.3 offers more advanced and typesafe features.
Release notes can be found here for 2.0.3 and here for 1.2.3 and here for 1.1.3.
