Tracking Codes
To view a list of tracking codes:
- Go to the Marketing Manager
- From the main menu, select Tracking
- To create a new tracking code, click Create Tracking Code
- To review or edit an existing tracking code, click on a Tracking Code ID link
Create Tracking Code
Only two fields are required when creating a tracking code: the Tracking Code ID and the Tracking Code Type ID. However, at a minimum, you'll want to include a short description, a trackable lifetime and a billable lifetime.
Available fields:
- Tracking Code ID
Free-form ID. - Description
A short description. - Comments
Additional comments - currently unused. - Tracking Code Type ID
Available types: Internal, External and Partner Managed. - Marketing Campaign ID
Used to associate this tracking code with an existing Marketing Campaign. - Default Product Catalog ID
- From Date and Thru Date
- Redirect URL
- Override Logo URL and Override CSS URL
Currently unused. - Trackable Lifetime
- Billable Lifetime
- Group ID and Sub-Group ID
Used to further segment tracking codes into groups and sub-groups within a higher level Marketing Campaign.
