The following results were compiled from a Survey conducted 19th to 28th August 2025.  To reach a broad audience, I posted to the Mifos slack channels (#general, #fineract) and to the listserv multiple times.  (Unknown User (jdailey) )

Generally the project is seen as positive.  A plurality of the respondents noted that they were on a fork of the project, or not contributing upstream.   This is striking because only those who are monitoring channels and the listserv were responding, a strong bias toward involved participants.  Respondents came from all over the world, highly distributed globally.

To questions about security, there was some support for getting fixes but less awareness of the CVE process.  To a question about whether a new Fineract front end would be used and welcomed, nearly 80% agreed with yes or it would depend on how good it was.

Getting paid and making the project easier to build are two of the highest priorities for devs.  Motivations for being involved included 'commercial reasons' - this tracks with percentage of those paid to work on the project -  but also scoring high were  'Poverty Reduction', 'Technology Challenge', and 'Self-Improvement'.
