- Download incubating-netbeans-platform-9.0-alpha-bin.zip and incubating-netbeans-platform-9.0-alpha-source.zip from the above location.
- Open NetBeans IDE 8.2 or Apache NetBeans (incubating) 9.0 Beta, once it is available).
- Register the
- Open the New Project window (Ctrl-Shift-N), go to NetBeans Modules | NetBeans Platform Application and create a new application, named for example "application1", and make sure to select "Apache NetBeans Platform" in the "NetBeans Platform" drop-down box, as shown below:
- Run the application and you should see this:
- Add a new module with a new TopComponent, e.g., an Editor window, and you'll see this:
