Welcome back to another exciting issue of the Apache CloudStack News. This week, 4.2.0 vote has passed the 6th round of voting and prepares for launch, Cloud Monkey starts it's independent release cycles, we begin discussions around the next release and look at some of the major discussions on the Apache CloudStack mailing lists, and much more.

Major Discussions

4.2 vote is now complete, preparing for launch

After six rounds of voting the vote passed with a 5 +1 votes, and a +0 vote result. Wido is currently working on the .deb packages, and David Nalley is putting together the Release Notes.

The marketing group is currently working on a marketing plan and can use help with getting the word out about the release.

The official announcement is planned for October 1st at noon Eastern US Daylight Time (EDT / +5 GMT).
