Right now a lot of things are going on.

  • Carol Frampton is the release manager for the first Apache Flex release. The goal of this release is to get as close to Adobe Flex 4.6 as possible. No improvements, new features or bug fixes will be in this release. After the release is signed off, all committers will be able to make changes to the code (or documentation).
  • Alex Harui submitted Adobe's Jira-Flex to Apache. The Apache support is trying hard to get it in: INFRA 4380
  • Justin McLean got a Continuous Integration Server up and running.
  • Michael Labriola is clearing FlexUnit to contribute it to Apache Flex. http://markmail.org/message/kynhtaak2h7c6xxc
  • The first proposals for projects are taking shape: Compile-time-data injection, Printing for flex, Goshawk

Things that could use some help:

  • If you know of user-groups that are active and not yet on the list: let them contact Keith Sutton.
  • We need a build system for flex: If you are good or interested in working the kinks out (perhaps with Gradle) then set up a example for flex at github using the whiteboard code and let us know with the mailing list.
  • Think hard about how we can make a better Flex together and write a proposal to the Mailing list and/or add it to the Wiki. If you are super-cool: prepare proposal samples at github.
  • Group/Contact/Chat with other proposal writers to prepare awesome contributions.
  • Gather and write application examples for the use of flex for the App Examples
  • Download and Build the SDK.

... get started!

Things that are on the queue but without schedule:

  • The submission of the rest of the Mustella tests for Flex from Adobe
  • The Falcon compiler is scheduled to be contributed in Q4 2012(SEP-NOV)
  • No labels
