Overview

Ignite Enhancement Proposal (IEP) is the process of discussion and management of major product changes. The process is aimed to improve visibility of a high-level product roadmap, increase community engagement and make sure that proposals are treated by community with adequate priority. 

Any community member can initiate technical discussion on the devlist and propose the change. If community agrees that the change is large or complex enough, a new IEP with unique number could be created for it. Upon creation IEP is assigned with a sponsor who will help contributors and implementors drive the process.
