  • Where are you from?
  • How did you get part of/interested in StreamPipes?
  • If this is wrong, I don’t want to be right: Favorite weird (but brilliant) food combo?
 15-20 minGitHub community features

We have improved our community features dremendously by switching from JIRA to GitHub issues.
I'll demonstrate what has changed and would like to get into discussions with you.

Notes:

Github Issues:

We try to further automate labeling of issues and PRs to make sure that PRs have similar labels as the related issues.

This makes it easy to keep an up-to-date list of milestones and auto-creating release notes which is based on PRs.

Github Discussions:

What to discuss on Github on what to discuss only on the mailing list?

We created a "dev" category in Github Discussions where we collect development-related discussions.

    • Structure needs to be improved but its hard due to backwards compatibility
    • Videos and Gifs might help
    • We need much better documentation for supported configuration options of pipeline elements
    • We'll start a discussion on the list to prioritize improvement potentials

  • What are the most relevant parts to work on?
    • We will discuss on the list how to proceed on that topic
    • How to reduce complexity of the system to make sure everything is up to date?
    • Philipp will send an email
