What is JIRA?

JIRA is the tool that we use to tracking track project related work. This includes ideas for improvements, non code based work such as testing and documentation as well as bug fixes and issues. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:summary-panel(Note:All of these types of work are currently referred to as a 'JIRA Issue' which may sometimes cause confusion).

JIRA also provides a list of tasks that need to be actioned in the form of a TODO list, which can be sorted by a range of categories including priority and person assigned. It also can be used to generate statistics about work in progress and issue resolution.

During our Community Days, JIRA's inbuild Agile functionality is used to create a Sprints for community members to work on.
