Here are some global configuration parameters needs to be documented.

We should able to figure out following in the Detailed Description part.

-  What is the meaning/purpose of the parameter from an operational viewpoint?
-  What is the example use case of the parameter? What kind of side effect can we expect by adjusting the value?
-  What is the related component (such as virtual router, Dom0, guest VM) and correspondent configuration?

Ÿ

pool.storage.allocated.capacity.disablethreshold

Percentage (as a value between 0 and 1) of allocated storage utilization above which allocators will disable using the pool for low allocated storage available

0.85

%

Ÿ This defines the threshold for virtual storage allocated by CloudStack.
Ÿ Upon any request for storage allocation, CS calculates the usage including the requested value and compares with threshold. If it crosses the threshold value then that storage will not be used for allocation.

pool.storage.capacity.disablethreshold

Percentage (as a value between 0 and 1) of storage utilization above which allocators will disable using the pool for low storage available

0.85

%

Ÿ This defines the threshold for physical storage allocated by CloudStack.
Ÿ In case of thin provisioning of storage, physical storage defines the actual usage not allocated. In case of thick provisioning both allocated storage and physical storage are same.
Ÿ Upon any request for storage allocation, CS calculates the actual usage on storage including the requested value and compares with the threshold value. If it crosses the threshold value then that storage will not be used for allocation.
