Multiple Nic Support

FS of the feature Multiple Nic Support

This feature is to support multiple network interfaces to guest vm's

  • Deploy VM with multiple networks
  • Add Network to VM

Currently when VM is deployed by selecting multiple networks, multiple nic's are added to the VM and associated vlan is configured. guest vm's will get dhcp IP's from the VR's

Limitation:

For "Add Network to VM", this requires Hot-Nic plug support from Hypervisor.Hyper-V don't support Hot-Nic plug. So, "Add Network to VM" can be supported only when VM is in downstate for vm running on Hyper-V only.

If user attempts the operation when VM is in running state, Message "Add VM to network is not possible for VM on Running State in Hyper-V" will be shown to the user.
