Welcome to Apache OpenJPA

Welcome to Apache OpenJPA, a Java EE persistence project of the Apache Software Foundation. It is a feature-rich implementation of the persistence part of Java Community Process JSR-220 (Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0), which is known as the Java Persistence API (JPA), and is available under the terms of the Apache Software License. OpenJPA can be used as a stand-alone POJO persistence layer, or it can be integrated into any EJB3.0 compliant container and many lightweight frameworks.

Incubation Disclaimer

Apache OpenJPA is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the DB PMC. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
