The OMAG server provides a server runtime for the Open Metadata and Governance components. This server is configurable to support different integration patterns.  This includes:

  • Open Metadata Types
  • Open Metadata Access Services (OMAS)
  • Open Metadata Repository Services (OMRS)
  • Open Connector Framework (OCF) Connector Installation Manager
  • Open Metadata Graph Repository

Through the OMAG server configuration, it is able to perform any combination of the following roles in the metadata highway.

  • Access Layer
  • Repository Proxy
  • Metadata Repository

The Apache Atlas Server is built on the OMAG server and provides value-add services for managing metadata and governance.
