VLANs (Non-Contiguous VLAN Ranges)

1       Background

Currently, in the Advanced Zone creation dialog, admins can only specify one VLAN range. Depending on customer environment, they would like flexibility to define multiple VLAN ranges.

2        Requirements

  • Provide users with the flexibility to specify multiple non-contiguous VLAN Ranges.
  • Example might be
    • 100 – 200, 230 – 500, 503 – 510

3       UI / UX Requirements

  • Advanced zone creation dialog changes.

4       Upgrade Scenarios

Following upgrade scenarios should be supported:

  • Admins should be able to add non-continuous VLAN ranges for existing zones as well for backward compatibility
